Today we gathered most of the family that was able to make it and had a bit of a memorial to return some of the ashes of my father, mother and brother to the river they all loved so much.

This was the particular spot that they always returned to for a swim or just to spend a sunny afternoon.

On the way back to the cars we went by the new swimming pool the city built. It uses biomass water filtration. It consists of two separate bodies of water, one being the actual swimming pool and the other an enclosed biomass filtration body. The filtration is performed by carefully chosen water plants, sand and various mosses and the water gets filtered to the point that it is almost drinkable. There are no chemicals at al used in the process.

The specifications say they can  support up to a thousand bathers at a time.
